Review: The prequel series maintains the pace of the orignial, and that's great. Once I really dug into the book, I finished it in about two days. I offered the 1/2 star because now I have no idea how they will fit a third book into the series. The timeline just doesn't work...

I read this book 5 years after I finished the series, and four years after I read the first prequel. I was still able to follow it well, but I'd reccomend reading them close together, or at least skimming the first one before reading this. These books do a great job of setting up the relationships, so it's easier to see why the characters made the choices they did in the series. The prequels are a must-read for any longtime fan.
